Use this when a specific app is slow, freezes or won't open. If the WHOLE machine is slow, see 'My laptop is slow, hanging or overheating' first.
1. Close the app fully and reopen (Task Manager > End task if stuck on 'Not Responding').
2. Restart the laptop and free memory (close unused apps/tabs).
3. Office: start holding Ctrl for Safe Mode (disables add-ins); or Quick Repair (Settings > Apps > Office > Modify).
4. Zoho/Backoffice (browser tools): Ctrl+Shift+R to reload; clear site data; try Incognito.
5. Chrome: too many tabs is #1 — use Shift+Esc (Chrome Task Manager); update Chrome.
6. VS Code: disable unused extensions; update; close large folders.
Still slow? Raise a ticket saying the exact app and whether the whole machine or just that app is affected.
