Under BYOD, you use your own laptop for work and receive a monthly BYOD allowance instead of a company-issued device.
OPTING IN
• Raise an HR request to start the BYOD process. HR will confirm eligibility, the allowance, and add your employee code to the BYOD register so the allowance is applied from the correct cycle.
ALLOWANCE MISSING FROM SALARY?
• The usual cause is that your employee code was not yet added to the BYOD register when payroll ran. Raise an HR request — once corrected, the allowance (including any missed month) is included in the next cycle.
Mention your device details and the month the allowance should start when you raise the request.
