FAQ: PF is showing on my payslip but I opted out (or my UAN isn't mapped)

HR Guides · 2 views

PF questions are common — here's how they're usually resolved:

PF SHOWS BUT YOU OPTED OUT
• If you submitted Form 11 to opt out of PF, your opt-out is processed — but a line may still appear on the payslip. Check whether any PF was actually DEPOSITED: if your UAN isn't mapped, no PF has been deposited to EPFO, and HR can confirm this for you.

UAN NOT MAPPED / NEW JOINER
• New joiners' UANs are generated with the compliance partner and then linked. If your UAN isn't showing yet, raise an HR request and it will be coordinated and shared.

TWO UAN NUMBERS
• If you have more than one UAN (from previous employers), HR will confirm which one to use for PF processing so contributions go to the right account.

PF TRANSFER REJECTED
• A common blocker is a missing indemnity bond. Raise an HR request and HR will tell you exactly what's needed to unblock the transfer. See 'PF, Gratuity, ESI & Bonus'.
