Requesting software installation (Adobe, Claude, Zoom and others)
Software · 1 views
Company laptops are locked down — you cannot install software yourself (you will see an "admin rights" prompt). This protects you and the company from malware and licence violations. Here is the process:
1. Raise a request. Help Center > Service Catalog > "Software Installation" (or a ticket). Include: the software name and version, which laptop (asset tag), and one line on the business need. For paid tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro), licence cost approval from your manager speeds things up — copy them on the ticket.
2. We check the licence. Free/company-standard tools (Chrome, Zoom, VLC, 7-Zip, Claude desktop) are installed straight away, usually via a short remote session (keep AnyDesk ready and your laptop online).
3. Installation. We connect remotely (you will get a message first), install, activate with a company licence, and confirm with you before closing the ticket.
4. Re-installation after a format or on a replacement laptop: raise the same request and mention it was previously installed — reactivation is quick since the licence already exists.
Note: never install cracked/pirated software or personal licence keys on a company laptop — it puts company data at risk and is treated as a security incident.
Still stuck? Email [email protected] or raise a ticket from the Help Center — include your asset tag (sticker on the laptop) and a screenshot if possible.
